FOH®, Inc Partnered with World Central Kitchen (WCK) to Provide PPE Aid to the Navajo Nation In partnership with Sante Fe Community College Culinary Program, WCK’s Chef Relief Team has been working in New Mexico since May of 2020, preparing nourishing meals for the Navajo Nation community as they navigate through the devastating effects caused to them by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Creating and delivering thousands of meals daily to local residents, WCK noticed that there was a much bigger need in the community than just food. With COVID-19 hitting the Dine’ community hard, their team needed to find a way to provide face masks to the residents to assist in the effort of eliminating the spread of this virus. And just as WCK put out a call for assistance, FOH®, Inc was shipping out 10,000 3-Ply disposable masks to be distributed to the Fort Defiance community of the Navajo Nation.
As the coronavirus cases around the country continue to rise, there have been over 23,000 positive cases and over 800 deaths due to COVID-19 in the community.
“We are always proud to assist our World Central Kitchen family in their efforts to bring aid and relief to shut in communities around the globe” says Dominique Morales, Marketing Director at FOH®, Inc. “If nothing us, 2020 has taught us all the importance of having a little humanity and empathy. And we, at FOH®, Inc are committed to helping communities, like the Navajo Nation, overcome the spread of this terrible disease.”
